Vancouver, BC bioAnne-Marie Comte has lived in North and Central America, Europe and Africa, until settling on the amazing West Coast a dozen years ago. In her photography, Anne-Marie Comte combines a longstanding passion for the physical environment with a deep enthusiasm for interacting with people. She explores those things around her that she loves: the city, the mountains, the ocean. She is drawn to the way people use their environment – from rock climbers and boulderers, clowns on Granville Island, to parents with their children. The focus of her photographic work is an expression and communication of the peacefulness and potential captured in life and experience.
